Alicia Kat Vancil

Storyteller, Visual Designer & Super Geek Extraordinaire

Amazon Bestselling author Alicia Kat Vancil grew up in the melting pot of diversity we call the San Francisco Bay Area. Fueled by a steady diet of theatrical productions and books, it was no big surprise when Kat graduated among the top of her class from the Academy of Art University with a BFA in Illustration. After graduating, Kat went on to open her own graphics studio and independent publishing house. Due to her unrelenting commitment to quality storytelling and New Adult Fiction, Kat was offered a position on the boards of several industry groups, and is a co-host and support member for the weekly live Twitter chat and audio show NALitChat.

When not crafting the impossible and the imaginary, Kat can usually be found performing, watching anime, or adding new skills to her creative arsenal.

“Half of art is making something awesome. The other half is convincing someone it’s worth buying.”

—Patrick Galathea, The Other Side of Truth
